I'm Addicted!!

Try it once; you'll be addicted, too. I have always wanted to try a sprint triathlon. I was training for one in the summer of '06 and then I found out I was pregnant with Avery, no more triathlon. So, when my sister told me last month that she was going to do one, I was all for it. Even though I only had a month to train, I knew it could be done; after all, it was just a sprint (which really just means short). Plus, I thought it would be a super fun thing to do with my sister. I had been working out consistently since the beginning of the year taking 2 weightlifting classes a week and several other aerobic classes. When I decided to do the triathlon, I stopped taking the aerobics classes and added running, swimming and biking to my weekly routine. I did keep the weight training to build up those muscles. Looking back, I really didn't train well, but I have to remember, I only had a month. The event was awesome and it definitely hurt, but I was so fun. I mean, I get to say, "I did it!!" We have already made plans for two other events this summer. My sister, cousin and I are running a women's 8K trail run in May. Then my sister and a couple of friends and I are running the Rock & Roll 1/2 marathon in VA Beach in August. That one should be super fun with bands on nearly every corner of the boardwalk. I may be a couple months prego on that one, but we shall see. What fun to look forward to!

Who's Who?

"They all look so much alike!" I get this comment a lot. So I was browsing through some old pictures and decided to post a few of the girls at the same age. See is you can tell the difference.

Where have we been?

We have been in a trasition, a LONG one! I don't have any final reports for you, but prayerfully, we will soon. Until then, I won't spend too much time trying to fill you in on the past year, but rather, I will update on our present excitements. Here are a few photos of the past several months. I promise I will do better from now on...:)

6 months

I cannot believe this is happening so fast. It does seem like a while ago I found out I was pregnant, but when I think about the fact that I really only have about 3 months left until this baby comes, oh my... I was really bad about taking belly pics with Shelby, so I made sure to get at least one with this baby. By the way, it is a girl. Super excited to have three girls three and under, w00-hoo!

Common occurance...

This picture is a representation of our daily living. I rarely ever dress Annalee anymore. Before breakfast she has adorned one of her "princess" dresses and accessories. She has been known to dance for an hour straight while Shelby indulges in her carb addiction. Her first and only object word is cracker. She could live on graham crackers, wheat thins and, well, pretty much anything made of flour. I cut her off the other day and then found her hiding in the corner with a box of elbow noodles, gross!!! We try to keep the flour intake to a minimum, so it lends to many a sad face for my little sugar bear, but I am sure she will get over it, I hope.

"Let Salvation Flow" follow-up...

A while ago I shared a short post about a desire for seeing God's hand in the salvation of those around me. It was not long after that post that I attended a business conference. There was an optional Sunday morning service and I witnessed over 600 people accept the Lord as their Savior. I have since attended three of these conferences and continue to see the Lord work in mighty ways on the hearts of those around me. I have seen well over 2000 people come to Jesus in the past 5 months and I am so grateful for a God who allows us to share in the joy of these truly supernatural transformations. *This picture was taken this past conference in South Carolina. Sorry it was blurred, but you can get an idea of the many, many who came forward.

Christmas Scrapbook part I

The girls had a blast playing in ALL the Colorado snow!
My two aspiring artists spent their days practicing their talents, twirling and playing the days away.
Shane's brother, Brett, and his girlfirend Lindsey treated us to a Nuggets basketball game and a private tour of the facilities. It was a fabulous time had by all. Thanks Brett and Lindsey!!
Annalee was a flower girl in our freinds' Bryan and Jenny's wedding. She had so much fun dancing all night with her Daddy. She danced every single song from 7:00-10:00. We had to drag her off the dance floor.
The travel was crazy as we had three snow/ice storms to get through on our trip. Shane is an excellent snow driver and got us to our destinations safely, even if the 6 hour trips took 10 hours. Hey, great family time in the car, right?!

Christmas Scrapbook part II

We stopped at the Embry's to play. We ended up turning it into a surprise slumber party. God is so good to bless us with friends we pick up right where we left off.
We spent many days with Shane's family. The girls felt so very loved!
A fabulous stop in at the Cheek's house to visit with Natalie and Sara! They introduced me to Thai food, which I now LOVE, we chatted about kids, dreads, food, health, babies and more. I drove away sadly, but thanking God for friends that I connect with on such an intimate level. I felt so very refreshed and loved. JJ and Whitney had a beautiful wedding. This couple is so dear to both of our hearts. They have a beautiful testimoney of God's love, grace and mercy. We are excited for them and all that God has in store. Shane was the best man and Annalee danced the night away, again. One of our higlight when we visit Nebraska is spending time with our good freinds, the Podany's. Camryn, Shelby and Annalee had a blast in the bathtub.
