Ladybugs

They are everywhere. Last fall they made a fast invasion, somewhat like a plague. There were thousands and thousands outside our home. I am not sure why they like the house, but they would crawl/fly everywhere. Then they were inside, all over the windows. Hundreds of ladybugs would be crawling along my sills and door frames. The garage ceiling was COVERED! I kind of thought it was gonna be short lived, like two weeks or so. But everytime the temperature rises above 40 I see them start lining my windowsills. They aren't really bothersome. They make noises when their hard wings land on things, but other than that they stay near the windows. When they die they land on my floors. Reece likes to eat them. I just wish they would go away. We are going on 6 months of the ladybug invasion. Anyone know why, or maybe just some advice on how to get rid of them?
